About the Village Website

Welcome to the Village Website

The site is sponsored and paid for by the Parish Council. It is designed to inform the Community about all the activities and facilities in the villages. It also provides links to outside organisations for example the West Northants Council and local Bed and Breakfast sites and trades and services available locally. If you would like to add your company or service to the website then please contact me at frank.hunter@btinternet.com In conjunction with the Council I will be the arbiter of what is appropriate for the site. There's no harm in asking as long as you provide the material.

Some local organisations and clubs have their own pages eg the Church and the Horticultural Society. Other organisations of which I am aware have a page which awaits content. I would urge those organisations to contact me about how to present their information and ideally give me text and pictures to be added to the site.

In all the above cases I invite users and members of all organisations to suggest amendments and additions and particularly provide details and dates of any events which they want to advertise. The site provides a calendar which could be helpful in avoiding competing events and gives notice to potential attendees and a prominent News item when dates are announced. It may be quicker to consult the site calendar than the kitchen calendar especially when you are on the move with your diary. The site can be presented in a format suitable for phones and tablets.

There are Views of the village and, in the future with your cooperation plans for local walks and maps. Current and back copies of the Newsletter, Church History, articles published by Charlie Burbage, photos of open gardens and potentially any local history or interest which members of the community believe will be of interest.

If you are interested in taking ownership of your organisation's content it is possible to give page editing rights to individuals. The only proviso is that it will need the Site Editor ie the Webmaster and the Parish Council's scrutiny and permission before publication.
